Apple is offering up to $1 million bounty to whoever can hack into the Apple Intelligence server, which runs the company’s new software for iPhone 15s and above.
Recently, Apple announced new software for its iPhones 15 and above. This new software runs on an entirely new set of servers, which Apple has referred to as Private Cloud Computing, which support Apple Intelligence. Apple has assured users that these servers are the most advanced ever and has given a nearly 100% guarantee of privacy.
Talk is cheap, so Apple has decided to test the privacy of these protocols. It is giving a “free-for-all” to hackers while offering $1 million in exchange for a successful attempt. All a hacker needs to do to get the million dollars is gain full control of an Apple device remotely, without the owner of the device ever interacting with it.
“If you can commit arbitrary execution of code without user permission or knowledge, you get $1 million“, said the statement from Apple
This reward aligns with Apple’s Bug Bounty Program, an ongoing initiative that encourages security researchers to identify potential weaknesses across its product line. By incentivizing hackers in this way, Apple aims to stay ahead of emerging threats, ensuring that its technology meets the highest security standards.
