In Android 15, backing up your contacts could become easier than ever with the important Contacts Storage page. The site allows users to choose a specific account to save their contacts to. There are also different options to choose from for this backup.
Google Contacts can save contacts to a specific account. However, not all apps support such a service. However, this may change with Android 15.
Android Authority pointed out that Google is preparing a new contacts storage page for Android 15. The analyst discovered some strings related to the new contacts storage page in the latest QPR2 Beta 1 update.
These strings indicate certain toggles, such as:
- Select which contacts you want to sync your contacts with
- Add an account
- Disable contact syncing completely
One advantage of the contacts storage page is that you don’t have to worry about the Contacts app determining whether or not to back up all your “contacts”. You just need to set up the feature and the rest is handled automatically.
Other features and functions of the new contact storage page are unknown at this time, however, Google is likely to provide more details about this handy feature in the coming days.
It was also noted that the latest memory page addition is still in development, and it’s unclear how long it will take before the site becomes official. However, users may discover this new setting in the next quarterly release of Android 15.
