The end of the year brings the annual review, whether it’s photos of the phone app or a look back at listening habits with Spotify Wrapped or Apple Music Replay. Now Amazon is entering the fray with its own music streaming delivery, Amazon Music Delivered 2024.
Previously, Amazon Music released a more limited overview of its users’ listening habits without delving into the statistics. Amazon also released global listening statistics showing the most popular artists, albums, podcasts, and more, globally and by 11 countries. There are also the best playlists of the year in several categories, including indie, hip-hop, rock, pop, and kids. Perhaps not surprisingly, Taylor Swift tops the global statistics as well as many personal lists.
In addition to streamed music, Amazon Music Delivered 2024 also includes an overview detailing the podcasts you enjoyed in 2024. Discovering your listening habits is easy. Once you open the Amazon Music app on your Apple or Android device, select Library from the navigation menu, then select the 2024 Delivered banner. Amazon states: “2024 Delivered is available to eligible Amazon Music customers at all subscription levels in most major markets around the world.”
Amazon Music has three main tiers: Amazon Music Free, Amazon Music Prime, and Amazon Music Unlimited. Free is exactly what it sounds like: the entry-level free streaming service that doesn’t require an Amazon Prime subscription. It shows ads and playback is limited to shuffle. Amazon Music Prime is for Prime subscribers and offers more playback options and an expanded library of 100 million songs available for download. The top-tier service, Amazon Music Unlimited, adds lossless HD quality (CD-quality 16-bit/44.1 kHz) to those 100 million songs, and Ultra HD quality (24-bit depth up to 192 kHz) to sample millions more tracks. The Unlimited offer now also includes Audible.
To differentiate itself from other annual music retrospectives, Amazon is leveraging the power of Alexa and its smart home ecosystem. Some lucky users will get personalized messages from their favorite artists of the year. To do this, you’ll need an Alexa device connected to your account.
